For the majority of Australian visas, they are no longer placed in your passport. All visas are now electronically linked to your passport so when you enter Australia, the border officer will see your visa on their system.

The benefit of Australia’s online system means that you can apply for your visa electronically, without ever having to send any document by mail. Our migration specialists will guide you through this process as we will request certain documents from you. These documents can be scanned or you’re now able to even take a clear photo of the document and this to us.

We want to make things as easy as possible for you and work with the Australian government to meet their requirements.

An Australian Visa is an entry permit to allow any non-Australian citizen to enter Australia. Everyone who is not an Australian citizen must hold a visa to enter or transit through Australia.

Some visas may be granted on the border, such as transit visas, but others you must apply for before you get on your plane. Certain countries may have any easier process to obtain a visitor visa, but all countries must meet the same requirements for a permanent or long-term temporary visa.

There are various options for travelling to Australia for a short term trip. This is dependent on your age, your passport nationality and your country of origin. We always advise prospective business applicants to travel to Australia on a Visitor Visa (under the business stream) as this allows the traveller to conduct business meetings, however its important to ensure you do not work for remuneration.

For those wanting to determine the lifestyle and if this suits them, the  Visitor Visa (under the business stream) is a good idea as this also allows you to attend job interviews, meet with prospective employers and explore the labour market. You’re also able to see what Australia has to offer and we hope you’ll be impressed (!)

There are a variety of options for everyone so we urge you to contact us so we can make the process as easy as possible.

Sponsorship to work for an employer is dependent on two things

  1. Having a suitable employer that is willing to sponsor you.
A suitable sponsor is a business which is active and operating, has a good turn over and is growing year on year. The Department will also consider if the business has more Australia employees that visa holders, or if the business is a new business or been around for some time. There are many things to consider so we always urge our clients to speak with a Migration Specialist before moving forward with any process
  2. That the employee has the suitable skills and experience to carry out the role.
There are many kinds of sponsored visas, some shorter than others. In general what the Department will look for is that the employee has the right qualificaitons and level of work experience to carry out the role
