For the majority of Australian visas, they are no longer placed in your passport. All visas are now electronically linked to your passport so when you enter Australia, the border officer will see your visa on their system.

Australian Citizenship is open to all those that are permanent residents in Australia. The general rule is that you have been in Australia for 4 years on a visa, with your final year being on a permanent visa. There are also general residency requirements for anyone that spends a significant amount of time outside of Australia.

Sponsorship to work for an employer is dependent on two things

1. Having a suitable employer that is willing to sponsor you.
   A suitable sponsor is a business which is active and operating, has a good turn over and is growing year on year. The Department will also consider if the business has more Australia employees that visa holders, or if the business is a new business or been around for some time. There are many things to consider so we always urge our clients to speak with a Migration Specialist before moving forward with any process
2. That the employee has the suitable skills and experience to carry out the role.
   There are many kinds of sponsored visas, some shorter than others. In general what the Department will look for is that the employee has the right qualificaitons and level of work experience to carry out the role
